Following years of successful practice, Dr. Zhang broadened her interests to traditional Chinese medicine due to her growing frustration with Western medicine’s limited approach to diagnosing and treating common ailments. Dr. Zhang uses personalized acupuncture protocols and traditional Chinese herbal medicines. She continued her education by earning a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and a Master’s degree in Acupuncture (MSOA) from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture (PIHMA) in Arizona. She use of traditional Chinese medicine techniques, including herbal medicine and acupuncture, has helped treat patients with hypertension, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, sinus problems, and allergies.
