Hotel California By the Sea

My experience as a patient at Hotel California was incredible. I just completed 90 days of treatment from detox, to residential, to intensive outpatient and all levels of care were fantastic. I learned so much about my alcohol addiction, triggers and cravings, codependency, relapse prevention, and even some spirituality aspects. The admissions process was seamless and from the time I made the call to actually moving in was within days. The entire staff including client advocates, doctors, therapists, case managers, nurses, and the techs were amazing. They really had our care and success at the forefront and were always willing to take the time out to listen and engage with the clients. The living facilities were very comfortable and conducive to building camaraderie amongst the clients, many with whom I have built lasting friendships. I would highly recommend Hotel California for anyone seeking treatment for any substance abuse issue.

When I decided to come to hotel, I didn't realize that I would be going home with a brand-new life. The staff are very dedicated to teaching the tools necessary to help guide you in your journey. I decided to stay the full 90 days which I am very happy that I did. Even with the stressors of being away from family, being around a lot of people that I didn't know and having so much information every day I don't regret any part of it. Learning the tools in this program taught me how to handle the stressors in a healthy way. The clinical team, case managers, techs, and office staff... too many people to give shout outs to are amazing. If you are open and willing to embrace the program with every intention to learn the tools, you won't regret it.

If you or someone you know and care about is WILLING to make the change, HCBTS is it. Before going to treatment I had many pre-conceived notions of what rehab was like. Really HCBTS wasn’t anything like I thought it was going to be. They provide meals for residential clients, they have 5 classes a day teaching you how to live life sober, they drive people to outside local AA/CA/NA/HA meetings almost every day. Getting sober is scary for a lot, but they show you that the sober way of life is so worth it once you are willing. You will meet a lot of incredible individuals with amazing stories. Just remember the key is to focus on the similarities, not the differences. 4.5 months of HCBTS was life changing for me. Have a blessed day.
