I started going to Optimal Life Wellness about 2.5 years ago, I was in a tough part of my life and needed a lot of guidance. I had just started grad school and was in a lot of stressful environments. Seeing Lydia as my therapist changed my life completely, I have never been able to open up to a therapist as much as I’ve had with her. She validates my feelings and struggles while also holding me accountable to make the changes in my life to make it better. I did EMDR a bit, but mostly general talk therapy. Her approach to recovery worked amazingly for me and I am glad I have her support.

Lara is an amazing counselor. She has helped me deal with some very difficult situations in my life. She has also helped me to deal with divorce, remarriage, retirement, death and other issues. Lara maintains a non judgemental attitude. She does know me well enough now though to remind me when I am looking at things in an unrealistic way. I like her style. She has much experience to draw on. When I leave an appt with her I usually have goals I can work on. I know I can talk to Lara about any subject. She will listen intently.She won’t be shocked. If I can’t think of a solution for a situation she helps me to think of one if it is possible. I feel very greatful to have her as my therapist.

I came in with suffering from panic attacks and high anxiety. Lara Symonds was such a huge help for me. She was able to give me some concrete steps to help eliminate and manage my anxiety. She also was extraordinary at contextualizing the therapy for my belief system and faith in Jesus. She really is a top notch therapist and I would recommend her to anyone who needs help with anxiety or depression.

Erin is an incredibly kind and compassionate therapist. She creates a safe and warm environment and it is evident how passionate she is about supporting her clients. Her skillset is diverse and well-developed. While working with Erin, I have never felt judged. She truly takes the time to understand her clients’ experiences and values, and provides person-centered counseling to improve quality of life. I would specifically recommend her for time management and executive functioning for an ADHD diagnosis. Kaizen Counseling is the best.

We've had a fantastic experience with Erin and Kaizen Counseling - Erin's an excellent therapist who takes the time to understand her patients, has a number of strategies to help kids and keeps parents well informed and how best we can continue to support kids at home. She's friendly, accessible and clearly is passionate about helping kids. Definitely recommend her.
