3 Best American Restaurants in Springfield, MO

A Must-Visit! Absolutely Lived Up to the Hype! We chose FD's Grillhouse based on its consistently high rankings, and we were absolutely not disappointed! This was hands down some of the best food we've eaten in a long time. I had the fried shrimp, and my wife ordered the Hawaiian chicken. We made sure to share, and honestly, both dishes were excellent. The shrimp was perfectly crispy and flavorful. However, the Hawaiian chicken was the clear winner for us, largely due to its incredible house-made bourbon glaze. It's so good, we were thrilled to learn they sell it! Despite being crowded (a testament to its popularity), the service was still top-notch, attentive and friendly. We did have to wait a bit for a table, but it was incredibly well worth every minute. If you're in Springfield, MO, FD's Grillhouse is a don't-miss restaurant! You won't regret it.

This is probably our new favorite. Food was absolutely amazing. Steak was cooked perfectly, the buttery mashed potatoes was absolutely delicious. Buttery and smooth. Rich in flavor. Service was great and prompt. Was seated quickly even though they were busy. Food was fresh, very good for the price. Will definitely be eating here again! -Side note, if you're used to a plain "regular folk" salad, this was is a little fancy for my taste. It has strips of sour apples (I think that's what it was) and some sweet walnuts. It's a little different, especially with some ranch on it. I prefer just the basic lettuce, cheese, tomato, croutons and cucumbers. But to each their own.

This place was an excellent recommendation for us. I haven’t been able to say this in awhile but it think the prices for the food we got was right on! The service was great and so was the food. Overall the place was clean and tidy operating smoothly. My only concern is that the men’s restroom was messy according to others. That’s not the experience I had in the women’s actually that is was a very nice room.

Once again the "Google 2 year time span" is up, so once again I'm doing a followup review on one of our favorite restaurants in Springfield... Cheddar's. For starters, the fam was seated quickly in the bar area with the bartender Ryan M. as our server. He was funny, knowledgeable, and professional. All told, he was great! The kitchen knocked it out of the park! And everything else was fantastic as well. It's a shame all of the other cities in America don't have the level of service we see in Springfield. When we travel to other areas, we are reminded that "they ain't Springfield." Do yourself a favor and go visit Ryan at Cheddars.

Food was good and very reasonable price. The wait is not too long to get a table. While waiting for the main dishes, they serve croissants, which is tasty. The waiter is very attentive and helpful. Highly recommended!!

We went on Mother's Day, and it was very crowded, but we only waited 20 minutes. Our food was so very good. Nice place to go to cleaning good service.
