3 Best American Restaurants in Tulsa, OK

Each bite of food we took was delicious in its own right. We had a sampler appetizer with chicken tenders, queso, creamed spinach, chips and salsa with all the sauces which was excellent, especially the juicy and flavorful chicken, which I normally can’t abide. We then had a monte Christi sandwich which was like a club sandwich wrapped in a funnel cake and fried, delicious, and a ribs and grilled shrimp combo. Really there wasn’t anything we ordered that wasn’t delicious, and the service from Andie was terrific, so prompt, thoughtful, precise and cheerful. That’s becoming rarer these days; Late Stage Capitalism means there are fewer people employed to do all the jobs, so it’s special when you see one who takes that challenge on so well. Five stars!

Scarlett was our waitress and was very sweet and kind, and fast, even though they were busy. She deserves recognition. I got the Chicken Ceased Pasta Salad and rice and the whole experience and food was amazing. Will definitely be back.

I recently visited Black Bear Diner in Tulsa and had the pleasure of being served by an outstanding waitress. Shawna was attentive, friendly, and truly made our dining experience memorable. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we had everything we needed. She was quick to offer recommendations from the menu and checked in on us regularly, without being intrusive. Her attention to detail and genuine care for our experience stood out. Our drinks were always refilled promptly, and she made sure our meals were perfect. It's clear she takes pride in her work, and it made our visit all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend Black Bear Diner, and the excellent service is one of the many reasons I'll be returning!

We always tend to get breakfast food here, but it's always good, that's why! My veggie omelet was stuffed with grilled vegetables. French toast was an option as a side which most places don't have, and the fruit was fresh and sweet. My husband loved the big biscuit and always raves about their bacon. Love having breakfast for lunch? Then come here.

Black Bear Diner is the perfect spot for a tasty, filling meal. The portions are huge, and the staff is really friendly. The French toast and vanilla cold brew are delicious! The cozy, bear-themed vibe makes it even better. Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Highly recommend!
