3 Best Assisted Living Facilities in Cambridge, MA

My mother has had the great fortune to have resided at The Cambridge Homes for the past 7 years. She and we, her family, have felt so deeply grateful this has been her home these many years. Mom has been so comfortable and at peace in her lovely apartment, as well as in the beautiful Home itself, surrounded by the most exemplary staff.

My uncle, age 90, has been living at The Cambridge Homes for more than a year, and it has made an amazing positive difference in his life. He speaks highly of everyone who works there, feels that it's very well run, and praises the food. Their programs go far beyond the usual bingo and games, and include lectures and concerts. Previously, he was at a different assisted living which he very much disliked, so he has something to compare it to -- and so do I. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Cadbury Commons is a wonderful assisted living facility. They have excellent professional staff and offer varied and interesting programs for the residents. The staff are friendly and care about the residents. This is true of everyone at Cadbury -- the management, the professional staff, the front desk staff, the cooks and the maintenance staff. The Cadbury team worked hard to accommodate my elderly friend’s particular needs throughout his 18-month stay at Cadbury. When my friend had to move out of Cadbury for personal reasons, I was struck by how many staff members at all levels of the organization expressed interest, concern and appreciation for him. It takes a sense of mission and clarity to maintain a high level of respect, caring and sensitivity to the many needs of elderly residents day in and day out. Cadbury stands out as a shining light in this regard.

This was the perfect choice for my cousin. What I was looking for was a community that was on the smaller size that had residents that shared the same interest and engage in in depth conversations with my cousins and this community provides this. The community is located across the street from a lovely park so we can talk walks. They offer a lot of activities along with doing Sunday drives to different locations and events. At the community, they hold evening concerts in the courtyard. The food seems fine no complaints. The staff is friendly and very engaging. Along with the Sunday drives, they also take them on weekly trips to museums or concerts in the area.

In just five months of living in Cadbury Commons, we look to the future with enthusiasm. We’ve found safety, security, people with similar interests and a competent and caring staff. We sincerely can say, there is no other place in the Boston area that can compare to Cadbury Commons at Cambridge.
