3 Best Assisted Living Facilities in McAllen, TX

You’ve got to see the beautiful facilities and meet the AMAZING staff!! Our brother was in Brook Ridge Independent Living care for two years and only for a short stay at The Gardens Assisted Living. The Administrative staff: Estella, Elsa and Nurse Claudia were incredible!!! Every need was met with the utmost care, respect and dignity!! The meals were amazing, the cleaning and care staff were thorough and they genuinely cared for our whole family!! Both facilities cater to everyone’s needs!! If you’re looking for an amazing adventure, look no further!! Either location will fit every need.

After 3 years at their "sister" unit Brook Ridge, my brother has transitioned to the memory care unit. Being able to make this kind of transition was a big part our original choice. This has allowed him to get visits and to visit with some of his old neighbors. And the provider that had helped him while in independent living is still able to be a part of his daily life. The staff at the Gardens has been so kind and patient while he has adjusted to a new environment. They have been responsive to our concerns and helpful in finding solutions to some of the new challenges he has faced.

Excellent! The Gardens at Brook Ridge provided tremendous care right from the very first day until the last. Estella was my main contact. She was extremely helpful and explained the entire process very thoroughly. There were no unexpected surprises except on the good side. I knew when I walked in the place was beautiful. The more important thing was everyone I came in contact with, including the driver (I wish I could remember his name because he was great!!) were just so helpful and nice. Our family is so happy my uncle lived out his days in comfort and being cared for so well. I can not write expressive enough words in this review to let you all know how thankful we are for the folks at The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living. My father, Alfredo, has been a resident at The Bridges at Edinburg since August 2022. Overall, he’s had a great experience. The staff have been kind and always willing to tend to his needs with a caring and professional manner. While there, he has enjoyed participating in the many daily activities offered. In fact, he has discovered a love for painting! He thoroughly enjoys the arts and crafts and looks forward to each upcoming holiday knowing that there will be a party in the club house! Javier, the activities director, does a great job planning and executing all the events. He recently went out of his way planning my father’s 91st birthday celebration. Our family is truly grateful for everything that Javier does to make each day/event special. All of the staff is amazing and deserve to be recognized for the exceptional job they do.

My mother spent the last five years of her life at the Bridges. They were happy years. The staff and management are outstanding. Mom was loved and cared for in a wonderful way. She participated in the many activities offered by the Bridges and this truly became her home in her last years. I could not be more pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a home for a loved one.

My mother Guadalupe Jimenez has been at the Bridges at Edinburg since June 2021 and her care has been great. The staff are not only very professional but they are so caring and are always making sure that my mothers needs are being met. My mother resides in the Alzheimer's unit at the Bridges and my family and I are so grateful for this facility because our mother is receiving the best possible care and she is treated with respect and compassion.
