New York Bagel Cafe

This little nook is a true gem. The owner is a little brusque, but in a way that is endearing if you're familiar with the no?nonsense type of restauranteur who knows their product is priced perfectly, served fresh daily, and worth the wait. She's also usually trying to move folks through in a quick and orderly manner since the restaurant space is small and its a popular spot. The rest of the staff seem to enjoy their jobs and are always friendly, polite, and kind to the patrons. I love coming here with my kiddos for a late breakfast or early lunch. The Mile High Club on honey whole wheat is my favorite for a lunch, and the French Toast bagel is so yummy.

To the owner, I think you take the New York attitude a little too far. Even back in NJ and New York, customer service exists. My hometown joint wouldn’t be so worked up about minor modifications. You aren’t the only one from the area and we will throw it right back at you. Lay off the Colorado natives you’re scaring them. Keep making the best bagels in the area and we will come.

This place is classic. We grabbed two bagels to go, the bagels were soft and tasty. Atmosphere is on point for NY style bagel place and it's very reasonably priced. Also, we did not find the owner rude whatsoever. I'd recommend!
