What a charming and unique little place! I am a Canadian visiting Albuquerque and my local friend brought me here. She had been coming for many years and highly recommended it. The place is small yet charming and quaint with very unique decor at a homey atmosphere. The young gentleman at the counter was extremely welcoming and kind to us. He greeted us with a free cookie as it is a policy for them to give kids a free cookie! This made us laugh, but made us feel very well. My friend ordered a personal pizza with a green chilli crust and I had a cinnamon sugar Tostada with a large coffee. When I placed the order, our friend serving us allowed us to see the tostadas being made in the back. So kind of him! The coffee was wonderful and the kind gentleman made it just the way I liked it. The Tostada was something very unique. It was crunchy sweet and a perfect pairing with my coffee . My friend’s pizza looked super delicious. We sat outside for a bit and then came to sit on the inside. Most people around us were families enjoying pizza. They sold entire loaves of bread as well as coffee to take home. They have a unique assortment of treats, including savoury treats, like green chilli and cheese twists. All and all I highly recommend this charming little establishment. I would probably be a regular if I lived in Albuquerque.

This is such a hidden gem! Their pizza is made like no Otha place in town! Next time I want to try the green chile crust. The biscochitos are delicious. They even have a vending machine selling biscochitos when they’re closed! Their fruit empanadas are perfect. Not too sweet with a soft crust that tastes like their cookies. The service here is always so friendly! Look into their history and all their multiple ovens online! They have a great Facebook page. This place is one of a kind.

Our first visit was Great! The service was friendly, and we ate outside in the patio. The environment is comfortable. We had some sandwiches! Can't wait to try the pizza. Had some baked goods for dessert. So fresh and tasty.

Terrific all-around. My mom and got sandwiches and were very impressed with how good they were. Mine had bacon and they made sure to make it exactly the way I asked for it. I also got one of the large sugar cookies. Tasted so good, and was large enough for me to snack on all day. They give free samples of bread, and my absolute favorite was the honey white bread. I could have eaten that bread all day, and I was kicking myself for not buying a loaf to take home. They had dog treats as well, so my mom's dogs got a bag of those too. Both are large dogs and these treats were the perfect size. Cannot wait to visit again!

Support this business! What a gem! Amazing selection of artisan breads and some fantastic made-to-order sandwiches. They were sampling something like 8 different kinds of sweet and savory baked goods, too. A carb-rich oasis to escape the summer heat!

What a wonderful bakery. The bread is so fresh, I feel like I'm in the Tolkien's shire when I come in here; it's like being in a hobbit's pantry. The prices are good and the sandwiches are excellent.

THE BURQUE BAKEHOUSE REVIEWS

Burque Bakehouse is unreal. We had the burnt honey latte (iced), chocolate croissants, butter croissants, danishes, and a few other pastries — and every single one was insanely good. The croissants are even better than the ones I had in Paris a couple months ago. Flaky, buttery, perfectly layered — just so satisfying. If you’re in Albuquerque and love good pastries, this place is a must. Better to come early — like before 10AM — or some of the popular pastries will be gone.

Burque Bakehouse is absolutely incredible! I got to try their seasonal pastries, and I couldn’t be more blown away. Every bite was pure decadence—flaky, buttery, and bursting with flavor. You can truly taste the quality and passion in everything they make.

What a kick ass bakery!! Best I have been to, at least in the states. No wonder it’s got the James beard award. It rocks! But keep in mind the customer experience is all outside, its way popular, and stuff will sell out.
