LOS PORTALES BAKERY REVIEWS

During our recent trip to Vegas, while waiting in line for the restaurant in front of us, we stumbled upon this delightful hidden gem. This charming bakery not only offers an array of Mexican pastries but also serves delicious posole, gorditas, and other authentic Mexican dishes. The place was bustling with activity, and it certainly lived up to our expectation. We decided to try their Mexican bread, and it was absolutely delicious comparable to our favorite bakery back in San Diego. We can’t wait to return and sample more of their authentic offerings. The little cookies they had were not only adorable but also incredibly tasty. This spot has quickly become one of our favorites.

Best Mexican bread!!! Very tasty cakes. The 3 way cake (cake/cheesecake/cake) is the best!!! Gorditas are a bomb Menudo is delicious.

The food tastes great and the prices are good Excellent sweet bread. Delicious.

Very "Mom and pop" hole in the wall kinda place. No fuss or frills, good food made fresh. I've been wanting to very badly try Pan con pollo. It was so tasty! That and the hot cup of atol de elote paired with the sweet biscuit/cookie (idk the name, I'm so sorry) were my favorites. I'm definitely coming back for more of those sandwiches and the the fresh bread.

I loved the pupusas and the yuca with chicharron, everything was delicious, the French bread was so good! Thank you for bringing us a little bit of our homeland, El Salvador.

I love having access to authentic and delicious Central American baked goods as well as typical dishes prepared fresh. If you're Salvadorian (how I spell it) or Central American, you have to check this place out. If you're not, come and try and amazing baked good and take some home. Peperechas are amazing and semita will change your life, if you've never had platanos con frijoles y crema please try em out. Overall I am just happy to have access to food from many cultures in our valley.

Best Carrot cake in Las Vegas! ONLY place I buy it from when I don't feel like making it. My husband is hard to please. He loved it. He didn't want to share.

Found this spot that may give Peggy sues a run for her money, for all of us who go to and from California let me tell you this place is just great the lady was so extremely nice, helpful and patient with all our questions. I am totally recommending to everyone I know and will go nowhere else for my pie needs. We got the strawberry Rhubarb OMG! superb with the crumb topping . Hubby got the blueberry one and he loved it. (i dont eat blueberries).

I went in to try and find my elderly Father- in-law's favorite pie for Easter. The pie was a Strawberry rhubarb pie and I was amazed by it's size. It was at least 2&1/2 inches thick and was heavy for a pie. Cutting into it showed why it was so thick and heavy. They don't skimp on the filling and the crust is amazing. FIL ate half the pie that evening and said it was the best tasting one he has had in yrs. We have ordered and gotten this flavor from several different bakeries in the valley, and hands down Pies unlimited is the best pie we have found! I know now where to go for it from now on. It is a very big,full, pie which is delicious. We are very happy to have found this store. We also grabbed a mini pie to taste one of their other flavors. It was a plain chocolate cream pie and was delicious! The crusts are a perfect match with the flavors and are a wonderful treat! I definitely will be ordering my holiday pies and will be getting treats as we go through the different flavors! Their fillings are thick and rich and well worth the time and effort to travel across town for. I feel that their prices are reasonable for the quality dessert you receive. We will be trying other flavors and are very happy. Staff are helpful and very pleasant. Store is very clean and bright. I can't wait to try their Dutch Apple next.
