GEMATO'S WOOD PIT BBQ REVIEWS

Came in on a Monday. They have a Rib special on Mondays and Tuesdays, Full or half slab of ribs with two sides. Meat falls off the bone, sauce is sweet and but not too sweet, and the char is spot on. Had the Greek potatoes (great seasoning and slight char) and the coleslaw were both delicious. Definitely will be back with the family and friends to try out more of their offerings.

They have fall off the bone ribs, that melt in your mouth. The sweet potato fries are the best. But so are the Greek spiced ones. Everything is so yummy. I bring it back to Rockford every time.

Simply delicious! Everyone in our group loved everything they had. The meat was tender, the fries were crispy, and the saices were flavored just right. As for the restaurant it's self, it was well-kept and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely try this place out!

Came in for lunch and got sitted right away. Staff was friendly and food came out fast. I picked up the Burnt Ends sandwich with coleslaw and their Mac&Cheese. First, the meat was cooked to perfection. Could easily cut the meat with a fork. The soft brioche bun, spicy aioli and coleslaw complimented the Burnt Ends deliciously. And finally, the Mac&Cheese noodles were cooked perfectly. The cheese had great flavor with good viscosity. The bread crumbs on top gave it a nice crunch. Will definitely come back to try their ribs! Also put some of their sweet BBQ sauce on the Burnt Ends sandwich you won't regret it!

The food here is always consistent and delicious. We always have great customer service and anytime we have had interactions with the higher management, they are always kind and respectful. Our staff at our company loves when we get take out from here after long work days too and the food is always on point for a fair price. We are loyal customers for sure!

Great location, atmosphere, and service! Clean restaurant with boxes and bags in a nice area for you to handle on your own. Clean tables with paper towel rolls for saucy hands snd faces. Bright inside with rustic lighting and great views from the windows.

Absolutely recommend for BBQ! My family went and we tried the brisket, burnt ends, mac and cheese, spinach casserole, creamed corn, garlic roasted mashed potatoes and fries. All the meats and sides were delicious. They also have many sauces to choose from to suit your tastes. The pickles are great and remind me of my mother’s summer refrigerator pickle recipe. Staff was very patient while we took forever to figure out what we wanted.

Great BBQ here! I love that after some grocery shopping, I can always stop by for a bite. I have had pretty much everything they've got and ain't a bad thing you can get. The staff is a well-oiled machine, really love watching them work. Very efficient and skilled. Love knowing my food is in hands of fine folk behind the counter.

My new favorite bbq place! Loved the brisket, burnt ends, mac and cheese, fries, spinach casserole and cream corn. I can’t wait to go back and try more menu items. Love the variety they offer. The pickles are especially delicious! I wish I would have tried them sooner!
