An amazing blast from the past that always has good food and cool old cars to enjoy! We had a fantastic carhop and enjoyed eating in our car after a quick morning trip to the Virginia Beach oceanfront for our haircuts! What a fantastic day! The weather was amazing and the company was great! I always love hanging out with friends and family and friends who are like family! Absolutely a fabulous day! Thank you Julie, Dee, and Madison for making my day joyful! Love you all!

My mom and I decided to go to Doumar’s for lunch. We have heard about Doumar’s for years, and today was our first time eating there. The cheeseburgers and fries were very good. The simplicity of the food is what makes it good. I ordered a Cherry Coke, and it was delicious since they make it themselves. The hot fudge cake was delicious as well. We will return to try some more of their eats and treats.

Came down from Fl fir the Mustang meet up. The weather didn't corporate. Nice place friendly. Thought it was odd getting my sandwich in saran wrap. Would go back.

REDWOOD SMOKE SHACK NORFOLK REVIEWS

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, it stands out as the best BBQ spot in the area. Upon entering, I was greeted by a unique service area reminiscent of a deli, where you can select your preferred type of meat and sides. I opted for the brisket, corn pudding, and mac and cheese, and I was thoroughly impressed. The brisket here is nothing short of exceptional; they offer you the choice between lean and moist cuts, which is a true mark of a quality BBQ establishment. I chose the moist brisket, and it was thick, juicy, and bursting with flavor—definitely a highlight of my meal! The mac and cheese was wonderfully satisfying, creamy, and rich, while the corn pudding was a delightful surprise, perfectly complementing the main dish. Overall, I had an outstanding experience, and I can’t wait to return for another delicious meal.

If you're in Norfolk, treat yourself to some great BBQ at Redwood Smoke Shack. I was lucky enough to order my Burnt Ends Beef Brisket right at the moment it was taken out of the smoker. I can't begin to describe to you how tender the brisket was as it literally melted in my mouth. If you're a lover of a nice charred crust on your meat, order this! The side of Mac and Cheese and Cilantro Slaw was perfection. Try a Big Red if you love soda with your bbq. Highly recommend eating here.

Great brisket and pulled pork. House sauce was good and sides were generous sizes. Be careful! The banana pudding desert is extremely addicting!!!

Great place as usual, very cozy and military decorated. The cashier had an impossible english!. The food is amazing, beef brisket is a win win! Incredible how it is cooked, tender and tasty, all smoked flavour at the perfect balance. It is a mandatory to me if you like brisket. They have big ovens to cook slowly the Meat. Amazing!!

The brisket and employees never disappoint. 100/100. I think this is the best brisket I’ve had in my life. Plus, the options of sauces make it 10% better.

Love this place. The chili is pretty good, just enough heat. These cheesy potatoes went great with my brisket. Give it a shot.
