3 Best Cafe in Newport News, VA

This place is the epitome of coffeehouse culture. I had a different barista every day for the 4 days in a row I visited, and each of them made a perfect latte. The food was also great and the atmosphere is perfect. They serve your coffee and food in real ceramic/glassware when dining in, which for some reason isn't the standard across America. I wish this place was available in every town.

I visited Cure Coffeehouse for the first time on a Thursday night for their open mic, and it ended up being such a great experience. The staff was amazing—friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment I walked in, which made the whole night feel really comfortable and relaxed. The coffee was delicious, and the food was a nice bonus on top of the drinks, especially for a late?night hangout. I met some interesting people, enjoyed the performances, and loved getting to experience something new in such a cozy, creative space. I’ll definitely be back for another open mic night.

I love cure! The staff is always amazing! Especially the kitchen staff! The sandwiches are so good I love the BLT and the matcha is so delicious! Environment is good and portion sizes are as well! My favorite coffee shop on this side of the water! Made me feel at home when I moved to Newport News.

Had such a great experience here! The staff were extremely kind and well skilled at their jobs. The coffee was delicious and the Northerner was something different than you get at your chains. The blueberry crumble was also incredible and it is cool that the baked goods are all made locally! In one of the photos you’ll see a really cool touch. One of the employees hand drew on the cup which was something different and fun. Having something like that makes it worth it even more to go to local coffee shops. The environment and vibe of the coffee shop doesn’t exactly match the exterior of the building, in a GREAT way! It is in a medical building, but it feels like a stand alone local coffee shop once you go inside. Its warm lighting, natural tones, and greenery make it a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee for a meeting for work, with friends, or by yourself. Overall, we had an awesome experience and I wish we lived near this coffee shop so we could go more often.

The lemon loaf and oatmeal cream pie are exquisite! I asked the barista what her favorite drink to make was and she said the strawberry buttercream latte and boy was she right! This latte changed my life, I will never go back to my plain vanilla latte — truly a delectable experience. Vibes: AMAZING Coffee: TO DIE FORRRR.

I love finding great local coffee shops, and this is no exception! Delicious coffee and amazing treats. Their lattes are wonderful with subtley on the sweetness and focus on flavor. I enjoyed a mouth watering cinnamon roll as well. 10/10 would recommend.
