I only came here for the cake, which was divine! They have a variety of cakes to choose from. We had the Turtle and Chocolate Cake. The icing was sweet but not too sweet and the cake was rich and moist. They also have food options and a full coffee bar. It is cafeteria style ordering and took a second to orient to that process. You have to park on the street. I would go back for a slice of cake in a heartbeat.

Tucked into the heart of St. Paul’s Grand Avenue scene, Café Latte isn’t just a café—it’s an institution. A fusion of gourmet bakery, modern cafeteria, wine bar, and local art gallery, Café Latte delivers a one-of-a-kind experience that’s both upscale and unpretentious.

Mainly go there for the bakery items which are superb! I always get the Tres Leches or Turtle chocolate cake. The sandwiches are good here too.

DAY BY DAY CAFE REVIEWS

We were visiting over 4th of July weekend and everything was perfect! Their patio is dog friendly and very beautiful. Staff is super friendly and food is delicious for a good price. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I’ve been coming to Day by Day Cafe for about 3 years now, and it never gets old. In the summer, I love sitting out on the patio with my dog—it’s such a peaceful spot with the little pond. And even in the winter months, it’s still one of my favorite brunch spots. The food is always great, and the vibe is super cozy. Definitely a go-to year-round.

We stayed at the air bnb upstairs above the cafe and then went downstairs to try out the cafe. Place is reasonably priced, and the food was great. I really enjoyed the fish for breakfast, and Brandy enjoyed the French toast, bacon, and eggs. The food was hot and fresh. Our waitress was nice. We would highly recommend it. Good place to eat and nice air bnb above. Thanks for having us. Hope to see you all again.

Had a delicious crepe and coffee here. My wife ordered the amazing macha drink pictured. It was a work of art. We spent a few minutes talking with the owner too. She said she wanted to create a space that was like home. Well done! Lots of folks just coming in and chatting like family. Wonderful vibe. We will definitely be going back.

A fabulous place! The food is wonderfully exciting and unique. And the staff members, especially owner Leah, are wonderful and kind. They will go the extra mile to make sure that you are served well. Whether you live in the Twin Cities or are just visiting, go to this place.
