I cannot say enough about how special this place is to me personally. I came to know about this place through a former student of mine who had a cake from Martine's several years ago. I always remembered the cake(because it was so special!) and finally I had my very own special occasion for a very special friend who turned 70 to throw a surprise birthday party for her. I went to Martine's with such a short notice. I knew I couldn't have a cake completely customized, but the owner lady sat down with me and agreed to make a special cake(with what was readily available) for my dear friend. It was 2 tier cake decorated with sugar roses and baby breath and many more flowers. My friends couldn't believe that they were fake! The cake was tasty and texture was exactly what I would have liked to have. We also had brunch while picking up the cake and the chef generously offered a complimentary small cup of tomato soup for my sweet husband who ordered their kale grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered a waffle BLT which tasted delicious and not heavy at all. We loved their new place(apparently they moved to this location recently) and atmosphere. We would love to return.

I enjoyed my entire experience. Went for breakfast and ordered a croissant and a quiche. Excellent black coffee too. It was quiet sitting on the second floor. Everything looked appetizing.

Great food and pastries, good service and a great shop to work to meet someone. Upstairs has so much room and is quiet if you need to work. The only limit here is parking.

CARAMANDA'S BAKE SHOP REVIEWS

Our adult children and ourselves were both traveling out of state to meet halfway for a weekend visit in Lexington. We wanted a special cake to celebrate our grand babies upcoming birthdays. We found Caramanda’s online and it was close to our hotel. It was so easy to place an online order and pick up was a breeze! We were so taken aback when we got to see all the yummy confections they have in house to purchase and the cake we got was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!!! It was very moist and the icing was just the right amount of sweetness!! It was a huge hit with the family and a very special memory we’ll have for a lifetime! Caramanda’s is wonderful and we will certainly be ordering again on our visit to Lexington!!.

Caramanda’s definitely made my birthday a little more special this year. My husband and I were in Lexington for the weekend and decided to stop by and see if they had any cakes in the display as a last minute celebration. Not only was this chocolate cake adorable, it was absolutely delicious. Will be back for any special events we celebrate in Lex!.

Caramanda’s really outdid themselves!! My husband loves his Father’s Day cake! We get all of our occasion cakes from them and each one looks and tastes amazing!!!.

I am a HUGE fan of cakes and these cakes were by far the most delicious I have ever had. They were at the "taste of Bluegrass" fundraiser so I was able to try many variations and they were all phenomenal. The cakes were all extremely moist, the icings all very creamy. They were packed with flavor, perfectly sweet, and beautiful. I highly reccomend. Thank you so much!!.

I received some of the Bundtlets for my birthday. They were delivered by a very nice lady. Went back today to the store to get a few more. Such nice customer service and the cakes are out of this world delicious! Highly recommend!!.

Got a sweetooth this is your stop many different flavors for even the picky tasty testers small shop but big flavor and friendly staff.
