3 Best Cakes in Modesto, CA

I have loved Cheesecake Kitchen for over 20 years. The flavor is rich, I love the pastry crust vs graham cracker, and the best part is the thick flavorful cheesecake. The owners are also wonderful people and Justin is always such a joy to see when I come in. I picked up the banana cheesecake when I was there earlier this week. That was a mistake as I am now craving about 8 of them to eat. The plain cheesecake with cherries or strawberries always hits the spot. We also like to order the cheesecake cupcakes for birthdays and holidays. (Obviously getting banana ones this year for me!) Great prices, amazing cheesecake, and good people. You cannot lose.

Hubby and I came in search of Cannoli's that reminded us of our favorite pizza place (theh closed down in SJ a few years ago) Pleased to say we found our new favorite spot. The cannoli's are crunchy, sweet and that cheesecake flavor is amazing! The pistachio and chocolate chip were my favorite, but they were all honestly so delicious. I was on a mission for cannoli that day and didnt get the cheesecake. BUT, I will definitely try their cheesecakes next time and update this review. I went with the dozen minis and was able to mix and match. They also offered them dipped in chocolate so that's def on my checklist for next time.

Loved this little bakery. I needed a little something for Mother's Day and we were out of town so this was last minute stop. They were closing soon but I had high hopes as they had great Google ratings. It did not disappoint. The pink floral icing champagne & lavender icing white chocolate cupcakes were the perfect mix. We added some side sweetness with assorted macrons that had the perfect lavender. We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and staff about the shop and they truly, were lovely people . Highly recommend this place as everything was so delicious. (They also make lavender lattes!) The little bakery is adorable inside.

This review is long overdue! Back in January, I reached out to the bakery with an inquiry for a surprise birthday cake for my partner’s birthday in March. I live in Southern California, and my partner lives in Modesto and was worried about pulling this off from a distance. Aaliyah was so helpful from the get go! When I said I wasn’t local and couldn’t do a tasting, she offered to call me and we discussed the best flavor pairings and she even offered a vegan flavor option for my partner. I sent an inspiration photo and she helped me finalize all the order details. The day I picked up the cake, I was so happy with how it turned out! It was adorable, well-priced, and delicious! And my partner loved it. From friendly and helpful service to incredible taste, I 100/10 recommend Dulce Mia Cakes.

I am a man with few words, but our wedding cake was absolutely delicious.
