Specialty:
"St. John's Cathedral can trace the parish's origins back to 1878 when Catholic settlers recognized the necessity for a church and initiated fundraising efforts. The church's location was made possible through the donation of two lots by the Central Pacific Railroad and the purchase of two adjacent lots by Bishop Francisco Mora Borrell of the Diocese of Monterey and Los Angeles. The architectural design of the cathedral showcases a triple gateway with two square towers and flanking spires, along with a small rose window above the entrance. During Holy Days, the parish is committed to offering extensive support for worship, family/home traditions, and personal prayer. St. John's Cathedral also provides guided instructional sessions and home study materials.
2026 Highlights: Parishioners can also become involved in music ministry, hospitality, prayer groups, outreach initiatives, and service organizations that support those in need throughout the community."
