"Status Elite Competitive Dance Studio is a youth dance studio for girls ages 4 to 17. Their trainers are well-rounded dancers with a passion to train highly motivated dancers. Status Elite Competitive Dance Studio was a vision formed by Lashuna Mitchell, a Montgomery, Alabama native and Alabama State honors graduate. She worked hard over the summer to introduce the Elite Dance Youth Organization for girls with the help of local dance team coaches. Lashuna then decided to further the girl's passion for dance by investing in a dance studio and hiring trained dancers from her Alma Mater (Alabama State University). Their dance program and mentorship help build confidence and self-worth.

2026 Highlights: Status Elite Competitive Dance Studio offers a comprehensive 12-month dance training program. Monthly tuition payments are due on the first of each month, and costume fees are collected quarterly."

TONYA SPEED'S DANCE CONNECTION REVIEWS

Tonya is just awesome! She is THE teacher you want for your children, especially the younger ones. She is so sweet and she encourages the kids to be....KIDS! She doesn't take life or dancing too seriously. We went to another local dance studio that intimidated my daughter and made her dislike dancing. Tonya is really the best! She is so laid back and loving! Your kids will really love dancing at her studio. My 4 yr old, like other young kids, has a short attention span. We thought she wasn't paying attention at dance, but she was! She performed beautifully in her recitals and impressed us with her skills.

My kids danced there for years until we moved to Florida. It was a great experience that miss greatly! Wonderful school to take your kids.

Tonya and all her instructors, helpers and staff are welcoming and encouraging to young dancers. We love Tonya's Dance Studio.

My daughter started classes as an older beginner, and we were welcomed with open arms. The school felt like home to us almost immediately. It is truly a special place that beautifully blends the discipline needed for ballet with the love and encouragement of their students. My daughter absolutely flourished under their leadership. My daughter took Ballet, Tap, and Jazz at Montgomery Ballet and the experience was really wonderful. Danny and Rania made us feel welcome and part of the family right off the bat. The opportunity to dance with and learn from professional dancers was really great for my daughter as well.

Ballet and the Beasts was a great event. I've been twice and will return.
