I have been seeing Dr. Calcote for years now - ever since he moved his practice to Huntsville. He is a knowledgeable and caring doctor. He thoroughly explains all his diagnosis, plans, and procedures. He actually spends time with each patient. That is exactly why his practice is so busy nowadays and why you may have to wait a bit to see him. His staff has always been courteous and professional - I have never had any issues with anyone there. I’m really unsure how or why he has gotten all the 1-star reviews. You don’t have to go to him. I’d like to keep him to myself.

He does a thorough skin inspection twice a year on me. I have had a lot of ‘ak’s’ he has frozen them off. He encourages use of neutrogena sunscreen. I have been a suntan junky since my 20’s til now. I am mid 60’s in age. I asked about getting Botox or juvederm, he was upfront and told me that it wouldn’t work on me as my wrinkles are deep. He’s right, I got a 1600. Worth of injectables and no difference cept I now make payments on that procedure. I had mohs surgery from Dr dai at the clinic, the nurse practitioner spotted a suspect area, biopsied it and find squamous cell insitu and the mohs surgery was quick and thorough. I highly recommend Dr Calcote and Dr dai.

The reviews on Dr Calcote are a mystery to me. Almost like two different people. My experience with him has been excellent, he is thorough and always explains what he is doing. I did start with a practitioner but because I have a history of melanoma requested Calcote.

Dr. Hesterman and her staff are incredibly professional and kind. She goes above and beyond to make my daughter comfortable while she is there, and never makes us feel hurried or rushed. Additionally, she is knowledgeable and thorough and truly cares about the success of treating her patients. Her staff recently spent hours of their day to help me get my daughter’s medication straightened out with the specialty pharmacy, and then when the pharmacy could not act fast enough they found me another quick solution. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Hesterman is professional and caring. I had my annual skin check yesterday and was appreciative of the amount of time she took addressing any questions or concerns. It is important to me to go to a practice where you actually see the doctor. While Hestetmann Dermatology offers cosmetic procedures, the focus is on healthcare. No pushing of products or unnecessary procedures. Easy to make an appointment, efficient reminders, and a good locations with easy parking and access.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Hesterman! From the very first visit, she made me feel completely at ease. She took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything in a way that made sense, and never made me feel rushed. It’s rare to find a doctor who is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so kind and approachable.

Dr. Sowell has been my dermatologist for years. He snd his staff are easily 5 Stars. His staff and nurses are always helpful and friendly. Scheduling takes my time into consideration. Rarely do I wait more than a few minutes in the lobby or for time spent with the nurse and Dr. Sowell. I have never felt rushed and am at ease throughout the appointment. Dr. Sowell and his staff are caring, professional, and attentive.

After having gone to more doctors in my lifetime that I would like to admit, I have to say that Dr. Sowell is the best! I have NEVER had to wait on him like I have to with all my other physicians. If my appointment is at 8:30, I am on my way home, on many occasions, even before that time. He is knowledgeable, kind and professional. Definitely a doctor to visit! J. Davis.

I have been going to Dr. Sowell for many years because I get small skin cancers from overexposure to the sun when I was younger. Dr. Sowell is friendly, knowledgeable, and concerned for his patients. He knows the best course of action and handles it competently. In addition, his staff is friendly and professional. I am happy to recommend him.
