It was an excellent choice to be seen by this doctor. He really sees you as a person, not a machine. He takes time to listen to you and he patiently answers all your questions and concerns. The whole team is very friendly and I am glad to have had this experience.

Dr. Norwood saved my life and added years. There aren't many doctors that have the experience and knowledge that he has. If you want to be coddled, go somewhere else. If you want to live, go see him and let him help you. He is up to date on the latest medical technology and was able to substantially improve the quality of my life by matching me with the best treatment plan available. I felt compelled to write this review after seeing some of the negative reviews. I can see how some people might be offended by his demeanor but he only offers the truth. If he can get you a few years more on this planet then consider that a bonus. I didn't know him before I went in for my first appointment and I had pretty much given up on life as a diabetic. I am fortunate to have found him after years of struggling with other doctors that only threw medications at me like throwing darts at a board. I can tell you he cares and knows more than any endocrinologist I have seen.

Dr. Norwood was personable. Listened to everything I had to say and took the time to explain everything to me. I appreciated how he did not treat me like I was stupid for asking questions. I was amazed at how he just understood what I was feeling inside, both physically and mentally. I guess when you are as good as he is you should know how your patients are feeling. I know there is no magic pill, but his personality is like a magic shot of motivation every time I visit him that gives me hope in getting better and being back to my normal me. Thank you Doc!

I've been going to Sierra Endocrine for year's! I first saw Dr Hawkins and have seen Chelsea since. Chelsea is an amazing P. A. She truly cares about her patients and she explains every detail and answers every question I have! From the phlebotomists to Berta at the front desk, they all do an awesome job! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Very thorough. Never wait more than 15 minutes. Complete confidence in Dr. Hawkins and his staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hawkins for approx. 15 years due to a complex endocrine system failure. This man has gone out of his way to help me and has helped to improve my quality of life tremendously.

Dr. Makhija is the most caring, kind, loving and informative doctor. I was fortunate enough to find her at a time that I was more ill than I realized. I had tried for years to uncover what was causing me symptoms, and she knew almost immediately. One blood draw confirmed her thoughts and she made a diagnoses. I was referred to Stanford for surgery the same day I received my diagnosis. The support I received from her during my time preparing and undergoing surgery was unbelievable.
