Dr Shinners and staff were excellent regarding surgery and direct care. I am very happy with the results. Where Sanford fell short was customer service before and after the appointments. I was unable to get a quote and the necessary information for insurance beforehand and every phone interaction took at least 20 minutes before you could speak with a person. Understaffed.

They were so considerate and caring. DR. Shinners is the best. I have full confidence in him. He is so knowledgeable and caring about my situation and treatment.

I was surprised at how different the conversation was from our last visit. Dr. Shinners didn't seem to be on the same page with our last visit. In our visit, he brought up questions about concerts and loud things but [Patient name removed] has had ringing in her ears long before she attended any of those things which wasn't addressed. When I asked about the malformation issue that our previous provider brought up, it felt dismissed. We brought up possible genetic issues and it felt dismissed. It seemed that once he asked if [Patient name removed] had gone to a concert (which happened long after these issues) that he determined that was the issue and there was nothing that could be done. We fully understand that there is nothing that can be done for tinnitus. Just felt that there was no reason to come to a follow-up appointment that Dr. Shinner had asked for based on our last appointment if he was only going to listen for the first possible reason and move on.
