Dr. Mac and the team at Berryessa Optometry are awesome! After moving back to the area, I'm so glad I returned to this office. Dr. Mac is incredibly thorough and honest - he never tries to upsell you on unnecessary stuff. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. My eye exam was fast, professional, and I felt totally comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend this practice for anyone in San Jose looking for a great optometrist! Pro tip: Try to book early if you can, since they can get busy towards the end of the year. But even then, they'll do their best to fit you in.

I had a fantastic experienced at the Berryessa Optometry clinic, The staff was welcoming, professional, and very knowledgeable. The Optometrist / Ophthalmologist took the time to thoroughly explain my eye exam results and answer all my questions. I truly appreciate the excellent care and attention to detail. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality eye care!.

I was a walk-in patient and am thrilled with Dr. Nguyen. He was as kind and personable as it gets, did a fantastic job walking me through what he was doing, and explained the results in a way that made it very understandable to someone who isn’t a physician. His team on site was also fantastic; very helpful, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. I can’t say enough good about the experience.

Dr. Nguyen is a great optometrist. He is very knowledgeable and informative with any question or concern I may have and the results of the tests he runs to check my eyes. I will gladly be a patient of his for years to come and would recommend him to anyone needing an optometrist.

I have been going to Dr. Nguyen for the past 4 years and I absolutely love the service provided. He makes you feel heard which is the greatest quality any doctor can have! Thank you Dr. Nguyen for the amazing work.

Had a great experience here with Dr. Bensbaa. I’ve got a few “quirks” with my eyes/vision; Dr. Bensbaa answered all of my questions with patience, honesty, and knowledge. We found a great prescription that works for me. Dr. Bensbaa set me up with a few types of trial contacts and I was stunned at the difference between my previous brand and newer options. Amazingly, the best-fitting lenses for me were the least expensive! I found the front desk employees to be helpful, friendly, and professional: I’m surprised that other reviewers find otherwise.

I don’t have enough words to appreciate Dr. Samy Bensbaa. Excellent doctor and great humanitarian. I have not yet met any other Doctor like him who takes so much personal care of the patients, and gives sufficient time to the patient to express their health issues. He is very supportive and suggests well. I wish him all the very best. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist.

I went there for eye exams for both my son and myself. Dr Bensbaa took care of both of us with a full exam, taking the time to explain to us in detail the results. All the other staff members we interacted with, were great too! Highly recommended.
