I recently finished an Externship here. I had great and valuable experience in Dr.Washington's practice. it's the only hands-on clinical experience in California for IMGs there and really worth the time. Dr.Washington has excellent communication and relationship with his patients. He is committed to a holistic approach for patients care. I enjoyed his enthusiasm for educating his patients (wether it's how to manage your back pain, using inhalers in effective way, boosting mental health or applying wellness habits to your life). Also he is determined to teach his externs and provide them with learning opportunity that they will benefit from. I highly recommend Dr. Washington's practice.

I am an international medical graduate who wants to get some clinical experience in US health care. I found Dr Washington's externship program online. Its a 4 week hands on experience. This experience has definitely improved my clinical knowledge but most importantly my interpersonal skills which is of much value in the USA. Dr.Washington did not just treat the patients for their specific conditions but tried to improve their overall health and well being. He listens to each patient attentively and answers all their questions. I am much impressed with how much it affects the final diagnosis as well as the physician patient relationship and want to impart these in my practice in future. And last but not the least the working environment and the staff are friendly and helped when i had a slightest problem. Thanks Dr.Washington .

I recently finished my externship with Dr. Washington and I’m glad that I found a mentor and coach to help me survive this stressful match process. I was able to get hands-on clinical experience including history taking, performing physical examination under his supervision and writing a SOAP note in the Office Ally EMR. He not only teaches medical aspects but also the cultural aspects of US healthcare system. He taught us how to write a personal statement and helped us with interview skills. In addition, he asked us to do presentations on certain topics and discussed them in the clinic. This helped me a lot in speaking up. He conducted a webinar where we were able to get in touch with the current residents and clear our doubts regarding the application process. He is a compassionate doctor who listens to his patients and teaches them about healthy lifestyles. Pauline has always been welcoming and helpful. Overall, Dr. Washington helped me build my confidence and interpersonal skills. I’d highly recommend this externship for any IMG looking for USCE. Thank you Dr. Washington.
