3 Best Food Trucks in Cary, NC

My first experience with Ethiopian food! Ordered the Merkato Special. They were very passionate about their food and explained how to eat it with the special type of Injera bread. The food itself was so flavorful! I enjoyed mixing and matching different portions to try new combinations. Perfectly seasoned and made me wish I ordered another plate for the next day! The injera bread itself was a bit of a learning curve, it’s spongey and thin so you can’t be too rough with it. It absorbs all the flavors immaculately though.

I was at Fortnite brewery and I was fortunate enough for their food truck to make an appearance. I had never had Ethiopian food before and was impressed. Food was excellent and he spent time talking with me. He did everything in his power to make sure my experience was great. Highly recommend! Ignore all the comments about “the food takes long.” I have worked in the food industry and can tell you, it happens. Also, all the food is made fresh… you can tell after eating it. And I’ll take extended wait time for such an excellent meal.

I had the pleasure of trying Ethiopian food for the first time, along with meeting the owners, and both were totally awesome! The amount of food you get for the price is amazing and the flavors were delicious. I didn’t know what to expect and was blown away. Make sure you catch them when you can!.

We tried their Punugulu, Mysore Bonda, Upma Pesarattu, and Ghee Idly, and every single dish was top-notch. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared perfectly. The real star of the meal was the allam (ginger) chutney it was absolutely amazing and added so much flavor to every bite. The Mysore Bonda paired perfectly with the allam chutney, and the Upma Pesarattu was another standout dish that I would definitely order again. The Ghee Idly was soft, buttery, and delicious, while the Punugulu were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. If you’re craving authentic South Indian tiffins and snacks, this is definitely a must-visit place. Don’t forget to ask for the allam chutney it takes the experience to the next level!.

This is a great food truck to uniform you want classic Telugu Street Food. The service and atmosphere are obviously not amazing as it is a truck but the food blew me away. The idli was so soft and hot. The dosage was spicy and crispy, we ordered Nellore Spicy Ghee Karam, and the chutney complemented everything. Great food.

Really good food and quick service. Loved the Karam Idly with the chutneys, and the chicken pakoda was a standout. Noodles and dosa were great too!!.
