He did his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Dr. Ambasht specializes in digestive and liver disease management. He is an expert endoscopist who performs advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including treatment of Ulcers, Bleeding control, Polyp removal and clearing bile duct of gallstones. Dr. Ambasht has served as the Endoscopy Committee chairman at Providence Alaska Medical Center. He finished 21 years of military service in the United States Air Force.
