My husband and I both see Riten Sheth, MD, Gastroenterology, and Nisha Cyriac, NP at Premier Medical Group at 1051 Essington Rd. Suite 250, Joliet, Illinois 60435. Dr. Sheth and Nisha are very compassionate and care about keeping their patients healthy. We love them both and will continue maintaining our health with them. The entire staff at Dr. Sheth's Office get 5 stars from us. They are always ready and willing to help whenever we need them.

I have only been seeing dr. Sheth for 3 months I liked him from the very beginning Though he is a gastroltoligist I have talked to him about a few other topics I appreciate his opinion.

I recently had the pleasure of being assigned to Dr. Tamer Atassi at Bolingbrook Adventist Hospital regarding what I thought was gastritis, but Dr. Atassi was able to diagnose a tumor on my intestines which was causing internal bleeding and thankfully turned out to be benign. He worked closely with the surgeon regarding my problem and in the end the tumor was safely removed and all is well with me. My hospital stay was a two week visit and in that time before and after surgery, Dr Atassi visited me multiple times keeping me informed of how things were progressing. He is very professional and knowledgeable in his field which led me to have the utmost confidence in him while being under his care. Many thanks to Dr Atassi for all his work in resolving my medical issue.

I have been under Dr. Atassi's care for a number of years for a chronic condition. He is vigilant, caring, thorough in his assessments and explanations. Scheduling appointments and procedures is made easy as his staff is efficient in coordinating with local facilities.

Dr. Atassi has provided exceptional medical care for me over the past few years. I am grateful for his professional care.

I've had a flare up of my crohns disease. For 2 years due to the neglect of my former GI doctor. I've had crohns disease for 30 years. This was by far the worst flare up I've EVER had. I vigorously looked for a new GI specialist. Finally, after 2 years of being active, Dr. Afsal saw the urgency of my flare up, the hospital admitted me due to all my inflammation.I was hospitalized for 5 days. He scheduled colonoscopy almost immediately in the hospital. It was all in my small bowel which they concentrated on because of my pain. He immediately prescribed me Rinvoq. I finally followed up with him today. I had happy tears. I haven't felt this good in forever. He went to shake my hand and I asked for a hug, which he obliged. He took me seriously and I finally have my life back. He truly cares about your quality of life. Needless to say. I'm no longer looking for a GI doctor.

Dr. Afzal & his NP, Maria as well as Jamie in the office are AMAZING!!!! Jamie was wonderful at easing my mind regarding the procedure and answering all my questions post. Cannot say enough great things about this place. They are truly the best!!!

Staff is friendly & proffesional . Dr. Afzal is excellent. Thorough and takes the time to answer any questions. Highly recommend.
