"Hermitage Golf Course is an award-winning golf course that was designed by well-renowned architect Denis Griffiths. This golf course features 7,200 yards through 300 acres of natural Tennessee wetlands and the beautiful Cumberland River banks. The course has a pro shop with accessories and equipment that golfers can use to fit all their golfing needs. Hermitage Golf Course is also ideal for hosting weddings and events based on your preference. Golf Digest Magazine has recognized this golf course as "one of the Top 10 in Tennessee." The General’s Retreat, built in 1986 with architect Gary Roger Baird, hosted the LPGA Sara Lee Classic from 1988 to 1999. They offer a variety of annual fee opportunities, including full, family, and weekday programs, and also offer golf, practice access, and other benefits to each membership category.

2026 Update: They offer wedding packages that include the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception venues, as well as the bride and groom's dressing rooms. The packages also include tables, chairs, linens, china, silverware, and glassware."

The golf course has hole 1 with has 551 yards and a Par 5 and an immediate eagle opportunity following a good tee shot to a wide and generous fairway.

"Nashboro Golf Club was designed by Benjamin J. Wihry, an esteemed member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. The course is located just 5 miles south of the airport and close to downtown Nashville. Nashboro Golf Club features well-maintained Bermuda fairways and Mini Verde greens. HERMITAGE GOLF COURSE REVIEWS

We heard so many good things about Nashville that we visited the city. While in town, we played both courses at the Hermitage Golf Club (President Reserve and the General's Retreat). The staff was accommodating (asking us if we had played there before, how to get to the 1st tee, which was a long way from the clubhouse, and tips about the course). The entire course was well maintained (we visited in August) and fun to play. We plan to make trips to Nashville every few years and will happily come back to play at Hermitage.

Played a round on presidents reserve. Maintenance was immaculate for a public course just over $100 on the weekend. Pace of play was slow. Sheep on the first few holes were cool. What you shoot is what you pay for your first round of beer in the clubhouse. Love this place.

Amazing golf course even if the grass is dormit this time of year. I am so looking coming back when it's lush, Green and seeing the sheep roam. Challenging, Fair And greens were quick Quick but ran true.

Absolutely nailed it as a top public golf course. From the bag drop, to the driving range and practice facilities, front desk, price, food and beverage, golf course layout and conditions, GPS golf carts, pace of play, and fellow golfers, everything was fantastic. I highly recommend this course to everyone.

December 12th golf. Course in very good condition. Course was wet with cart path only (added an easy twenty minutes to round). GPS in carts. Easier course off the tee. However, approach shots and play around greens can be very tough! Fast greens! Very nice setting. Would definitely play again.

Course is fun to play. As of June, greens were rough (sanded), and quite a bit of dead spots of grass throughout the course. All staff was nice. Carts have gps!

NASHBORO GOLF CLUB REVIEWS

Nashboro is one of the best deals in the area. Tight lies, super fast greens, and the new golf carts are great. The ownership has shown a commitment to fix things that are commonly notated. With the colder months coming my son and I will definitely take advantage of the amazing full swing simulator as well. If you have seen it you should definitely check it out.

Great course! Was visiting Nashville and played here with my buddies. The course was awesome, the carts were really nice too! The foods great, fair priced and large portions. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area, we went for a bachelor party and were all very happy.

Just played here today wanted to come on here and make sure it got the 5 stars it deserved. Beautiful course, friendly people.
