Located 16 miles southwest of Abilene, the park has oak, cedar, elm, and pecan trees. Abilene State Park allows you to camp, hike, geocache, bird watch, and ride bikes or horses. The park also offers swim, boat, and fish opportunities in the water preserve area. On the lakeside, 5 miles of horse trails are provided. You could spend several hours taking pictures and admiring all the vibrant plants you see here.
