ABILENE STATE PARK REVIEWS
We frequent a lot of different state parks - this one is another gem. Love the lake, the red rocks/sand/dirt - great fishing areas and walking trails! The yurts are awesome in winter!!!!!! They have a heating unit/electric furnace and domed plexi glass tops so you can see the trees and stars. The screened shelters are nice as well, but we really loved the water only tent sites. Very easy to kick back and relax here. Great place for the family. It’s winter so we haven’t experienced the swimming aspect of the lake, but all else has been a great great visit. The park staff and volunteers are AMAZING!!!!! So kind, helpful, genuine and available. We spent 14 days here and camped tent sites, two different yurts (19 degree weather!), and a screened shelter. Would easily recommend.
Best park on my trip so far. The grounds are nicely arranged and very clean, it's quiet, and you really experience nature up close. This is camping. Staff and park hosts were top notch as well. Def going to come back. My cat loved it as well, the trails were perfect for her.
Although we visited during the winter season, we still had a blast. It was unique to wake up to iced over streams in the morning, yet still comfortable enough for short sleeves on an afternoon hike. This park has several amenities, including trails, historical sites, a swimming pool, and even an area my puppy enjoyed as a dog run (the fenced area across from the pool/playground). The history of the park is incredibly interesting, and it’s large enough to occupy several days of exploring. We visited Abilene as well, which is loaded with tons of activities for the kids too. It’s a great getaway if you’re in the DFW area - close enough for a weekend trip, but far enough that you’re going to see a new landscape (and windmills too!!). Highly recommend!

SEA BEE PARK REVIEWS
I absolutely love this park. It's big and spacious. For any one looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of town. It's quite and peaceful. Just a real good place to relax and be with nature and ones self or familyand friends. Good for bike riding, walks, running, fishing, bird watching and of course to fly mini planes. One of my fav spots to go.
Great place to pull in and camp for the night. The spots were okay it was nice that there was covered picnic tables at most the spots and the water looked pretty in the morning.
Great place to camp for a night, free spots! Roads are a little bumpy and there are three spots big enough for an RV. There are fire pits, and picnic tables. They have a range for skeet shooting, a boat launch and restrooms.
