TURNBULL CANYON REVIEWS
I really liked this hiking trail. It says its moderate, but I'm not going to lie...it was pretty tough. Lots of uphill. The view is great at the top. It can be a busy trail. We got there kinda late so many people were ending their walks, but several were still hiking. Parking can be tough as there isnt much space and the neighborhood is permit only. After the neighborhood the permit only stops and you might get lucky and find a spot; inbetween the neighborhood and the hiking trail. We took our dog. He loved it also. We saw a tarantula in a ditch on the trail. It was dark before we finished. Take a flashlight and water.
I have been hiking this place for years even before it was a popular place. I love all the trails there is here. You can make it a short hike or run or you can stretch it and make it a long one. Love all the changes you see in all four seasons. Perfect place to bring the kids and teach them about the local wild habitat.
Yesterday I did a whole 6 miles hike, back and forth, from Turnbull canyon entrance south bound, north sumac trail, north rosehill no.1, skyline dr, back to Turnbull. It was pretty fair, and a total of 3 hours with 5 min breaks in betwee each trail.

HELLMAN PARK REVIEWS
Hellman is my local hike/trail and i am so grateful that it’s so close to home. Today i came with a friend and we arrived at 8:40am so we could get good parking. The park ranger opened the gates at 8:50am and we were able to go right in. Be aware that the parking for the hike is extremely limited and you are unable to park on the streets next to the entrance due to required permits. So arrive early if you want to make sure you get a spot. If you don’t, you will have to park a little far from the trail. There are several routes you can take while doing this hike. One is typically the harder than the other which is nice because you can change routes as you go. On a clear day the view from the top is spectacular!
Hellman park is a nice hiking spot. Whittier has lots of trails and you can get lost!! So just be careful and keep note on your steps . Always safe to bring someone with you. This is a wild life trail and one never knows what kind of wild animal can come your way. Caring a stick is always helpful. If you like strap hills and nature you’ll enjoy the trail. Keep hydrated and be safe. Till next time.
Very nice hiking trail in Whittier!! Have been going here for a long time to get some exercise while also having great views of the city and mountains . I would say the trail is intermediate but it also has a few paths that are easier in case you get too tired.

PETER F. SCHABARUM REGIONAL PARK TRAIL REVIEWS
This beautiful natural landscape of a park, is an asset to the community! Nestled in the hills, it’s a great place to do a workout, have a family picnic, take the kids for a nature walk or just go and meditate! The large park has multiple trails that straddle the woods, with cross-trails to connect them, so it’s possible to do loop trail hikes with a change in scenery! There’s several quiet, secluded spots to choose from for having a picnic. Many spots are tree shaded, while others are more out in the open. Parking, restrooms and trash containers are conveniently located all around the park, except higher up in the hills.
The great park with playgrounds, a lot of different hiking trails and also horseback riding. Has picnic tables. You can relax and breathe in the fresh air in a forest full of huge trees. In spring, you can enjoy pink cherry blossoms and bright yellow mustard flowers. It is located in an area with convenient transportation, making it easy to use restaurants and other facilities.
Beautiful park! You can walk and picnic and they also have grills! You can come to this park with your family and also have a romantic date. The skyline trail is awesome and I will definitely go again. They had a free concert when I went and vendors! There is a lot of parking.
