FOREST PARK NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
Incredible hiking trails. The paths were nice, there was a variety of level paths and inclined paths. I was pleasantly surprised, and would suggest it for anyone who enjoys a nature walk, very peaceful. I went on a weekend and the trails were not too crowded.
Nice place to go to view nature. Did a couple hours of volunteer work and learned a little about the grounds. Very quiet and peaceful. Good way to spend a day.
We visited for the Earth Day event and it was nice to walk around, enjoy the food and beverages and see all the vendors. Excited to come back and do more hikes.

DETWEILLER PARK TRAIL REVIEWS
A great park under the Peoria Park District system. Detweiller park not only offers large athletic fields for soccer and other sports it also regularly hosts cross country meets! Besides that it boasts miles of trails through unique plant communities. But you won't have to travel far to see gorgeous spring ephemerals in the parks unique woodlands. These Snow Trillium (Trillium nivale) are visible from the Dry Run Creek path! Come soon before these short lived flowers are gone! But do not worry if you do not make it in time. The trails are littered with spring blooming plants. Just look at the leaves of these Virginia Waterleaf! They will be blooming very shortly. There is always something to discover in the natural areas of the Peoria Park District.
Was there for outdoor Girl Scout meeting. Lots of space at the pavilion area. We really enjoyed the fall colors and the temperature. Had snacks after the meeting. Girls really had a great time.
Beautiful scenery. The trails were easy to follow. Only bad experience was that someone had a reactive dog that tried to go after my dog. Other then that, I would recommend it.

GRANDVIEW DRIVE REVIEWS
Teddy Roosevelt himself marveled at the beauty of this drive on a visit in 1910. A picturesque view of the Illinois River Valley from Peoria Heights. Each season casts its unique perspective on the area and are a beauty to behold. Benches are located along the drive for viewing and picnic tables are there for an outdoor meal with a gorgeous backdrop
Talk about a view! Gather several of your friends together and go get some very Scenic photos on Grandview Drive looking over Lake peoria!
Beautiful views and safe sidewalks to run on. I saw a trail that sort of follow the roadway from below but didn’t have the right shoes to go run off-road. I recommend and will return.
