WHITE TANK MOUNTAIN REGIONAL PARK REVIEWS
White Tank park is great for all levels of hiking. There are multiple trails that connect, giving hikers a variety of choices. There are plenty of easy hikes that loop, or can be connected to longer more strenuous hikes where elevation changes can get your heart pumping. The Ford Canyon trail is definitely one for more experienced hikers. The Waterfall Trail is now paved, making it accessible for those in wheelchairs or experiencing other handicaps. There is a mountain bike trail, (a section of its own) which when I tried, I came to the quick realization that it was for a much more experienced rider. There is also camping and picnicking areas. The park is clean and beautiful.
Taking a hike at White Tank Mountain gives you so many choices to enjoy nature. We chose the five-mile route, It was just right. The views are fabulous in all directions loaded with natural beauty. Bring a bottle of water and maybe something to snack on. Take your trash home when you leave. Our group loved it!
Attached to the White Tank library, they have a few snakes and exhibits that have some critters. There's also two scorpions and a tarantula near the front desk. If you head out the back door you also can find a desert tortoise who may or may not be out of his burrow. It's definitely a nice little stop with a taste of history and education about the surrounding areas. The front desk is also very friendly and helpful!
