TOP 3 ELMWOOD PARK REVIEWS
Lots of nice trails and varied scenery for a tucked away city gem. Stream(s) that dogs and kiddos alike enjoy. Plenty of shade. Fun little side trails in the woods including scattered stone stairs. Great for photographers. Scattered benches and a small playground. No standing grill stations and could benefit from some more trash receptacles, but not generally crowded and even if one section is noisy, it goes on far enough where you can find a quieter spot. We are growing quite fond of it.
Beautiful little Park tucked away in the middle of Syracuse! The park looks as if it is getting restored to its original beauty. A nice little stream with several small man made waterfalls runs through the middle of it. There is also a couple trails around it in the shaded woody area. It's a nice little walk to break up the day. Someone has even been building little hut shaped shelters out of the branches that were laying around.
Lovely and clean! Nice walking trails along Furnace Brook. No trash, grounds are well kept, and my son LOVED playing in the water! A nice playground. Plenty of benches and spots in the shade. Has become one of our favorite outdoor spots. Not crowded at all on weekday mornings.

TOP 3 CLARK RESERVATION STATE PARK REVIEWS
It's gorgeous all year long. Except the restrooms are not yet open at this time of year. We also wish the playground had swings and that there were more trail maps. Overall, it's a great experience to hike if you have the stamina. I do not recommend this park for guests with leg, ankle, or back issues as there are a lot of difficult trails to climb up and over large rocks and roots. Take care with your footing! But if you're an adventure junkie like me, be sure to bring your camera and some hiking boots with good traction, a walking stick helps too!
A beautiful hiking place along an ancient glacial lake. The trails here always hold something inspiring and new. The different elevations and geological layers throughout the park are unique. In the spring and summer, there is a Nature Center that is definitely recommended! There are a plethora of amazing things from the park. I have donate a few items I’ve found on my walks.
An incredible opportunity to hike and learn about the geological and glacial history just a few minutes out of Syracuse. The trails are well maintained. Even on a hot summer day it feels cool inside the park. Make sure to climb downstairs on the steps to the lake where you can hike the swamp trail. Must see if you are in Syracuse.

TOP 3 BEAVER LAKE NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
Beaver Lake is a great leveled trail for those with issues on trails elevation changes. The Lake Loop around lake is about 3 miles and has some great spots to stop and just take in the environment. Very kid friendly given the intermittent trails like Hemlock Hollow or the Woodland trail. Don’t forget to keep an eye open for the frogs in green swampy water. The kids will love to see them poke their heads out.
May is a great time of year for Frogs! The nature center and bathrooms are well maintained with an excellent educational exhibit. Areas for entertainment and a variety of hikes and trails to walk. I recommend snacks and water for the 3mi trail but its mostly flat and lots of great respit areas. $5 per car.
What a great place to hike in the winter! Great trail all the way around the lake, very accessible. About 3 miles around with lots to see. Nature center has nice restrooms, a shop, docents, and a bird viewing area.
