SALEM LAKE TRAIL REVIEWS
Love this trail so much! Beautiful lake and it's well kept. Trees and branches have been falling on the trail recently and they are always removed quickly and the paths cleared for bikers and joggers/walkers! There are two restrooms, one on either side of the lake and they are decent and usually stocked. There's a playground and the area is dog friendly with bags in some places for animal waste pick up. 7 miles all the way around!
Very well maintained trail, affordable rentals at the marina, and a very nice marina and pavilion with comfortable seats. If you hang out by the park near the playground outside the main gate, there are a bunch of friendly ducks that will pay you a visit too. This lake is definitely worth a trip to. Dog friendly, bike friendly, horse friendly.
My dog and I had a great time on a lovely fall day. The lake is beautiful with about a 4 mile trail around it, and other trails surrounding. Great for a walk, run, or bike. The lake is also good for boating and fishing. There is a playground for children, picnic spots, and restrooms.

PILOT MOUNTAIN STATE PARK REVIEWS
Grindstone Trail is a strenuous 3.5 mile hike from visitors center to the top with an elevation gain of 1000ft, The views from top are absolutely worth the climb. The summit parking lot gets full pretty early during weekends and holidays so get there early if you want to drive to the top.
Always amazing. The hike from the summit parking lot around the knob is only a mile and not terribly difficult. You can make it a 3 mile loop by staying to the left on the return from the knob and following the grindstone trail.
Fun day of hiking with Trail Life. Beautiful views. We drove to the top of the park and hiked the longer trail around the summit. I think it was about 3 miles. Kids had a great time!

MUDDY CREEK GREENWAY REVIEWS
Other than having a really hard time finding out how to get into the trail, I really enjoyed it. The problem is my map program wanted to take me to the beginning of the trail and told me to turn right off a bridge. I turned at the next right near a school and eventually through following other people found the trail.
Trail is fantastic in the middle of the city. It has creek, playground, good picnic & party area, bike rental, dog park. You can see many birds, squirrels, and sometimes small snakes. Good for cycling and family walking. It has a good parking lot and many entries & exits. Lovable throughout the year.
Love how this trail connects to so many neighborhoods and side trails. Wide and paved for the main trail, with a playground area, covered picnic shelter, and dog park too. Following the Muddy Creek, the snapping turtles can be seen sunning and other wildlife too.
