I love this little trail! You can hike from Tenleytown to Georgetown, and - in the spring and summer - you hardly know you are in the city, besides crossing a few streets! There are stairs, a bit of elevation change, a stream crossing, along with some wildlife to enjoy.
Amazing trail to walk/run while enjoying nature. Super clean. When I walk to Georgetown I prefer taking the trail than to walk on Wisconsin ave because i feel like I get faster to wherever I want to go. & I super love that I just have to cross the street to start my hike!
Lovely trail - it's a National Park Service (section of Rock Creek) moderate hike next to streams and established trees, perfect for a walk with friends. It's not well-marked, though, so check Google before you go for a longer hike.
