MISSION PEAK REGIONAL PRESERVE REVIEWS
Hiked from Stanford side in early morning on a cloudy day. Beautiful journey. Clouds seems to transcend from the heaven on the upper side of the hike. While starting hike, weather felt warm but it was very cold on the top. Don't forget to stay hydrated. Medium level trail. Many people tend to not follow trails even though there are multiple signs urging people to stay on trails. Please follow the trails strictly to conserve environment from erosion.
It was exactly a 3 hour hike with sunblock & water breaks in-between. I started at 11am, hike ended at 2pm. I highly recommend bringing 2L of water, I brought 1.5L and I ran out of water half way down the trail in the summer heat. It was really rewarding when I got to the top of Mission Peak. 7/25/2023 11am-2pm.
I hiked here three times, and it was amazing. There are so many beautiful views. On the top, there's a pole you can climb on and take a picture on. I heard that it takes 6 hours going up and down the mountain. It's also hard to find parking when it gets busy.

COYOTE HILLS REGIONAL PARK REVIEWS
We were greeted at the visitor center by a large bunch of turkeys in the morning. This has lush green hills at the moment with expansive views of the Bay. There are a huge number of trails you can choose from and most are easy to moderate. It's dog friendly and also has multiple parking lots. It costs 5$ to park but it was free today. There are a few spots to see wildflowers as well though they aren't completely in bloom.
There are multiple scenic spots and the view of the bay from here is second to none... You could see both San Mateo bridge, and Dumbarton bridge and the entire shoreline all the way from San Francisco to Mountain View.... Sunsets if clouds allow are a beauty to watch from here. Can do little fun hikes with friends on a weekend or ride the trails on your bicycles... Pretty neat spot for spending some lazy days.
This is a great park for everybody. There are several trails ranging in difficulty. The park is spacious so I didn’t encounter much of any human traffic during my solo hike. I hiked the Quail and Bayview Loop. It was an easy 3 mile 1 hour hike. It was a scenic and peaceful experience for me. Hopefully, I get to visit this park again.

QUARRY LAKES REGIONAL RECREATION AREA REVIEWS
This is a series of trails around the rims of several old quarries. There is boating, fishing, hiking, nature & bird watching. There's enough space that "Social Distancing" wasn't a problem. The trails are wide and well maintained. there's plenty of signage to help you find your way around. There is a $5 parking fee that was well worth it as there were plenty of spaces with easy access to the activities. We've made several visits and will be back soon.
Very cool park, offering hiking, cycling, fishing, swimming and probably some other activities. There are a lot of birds and space to run around for kids. The creek near by provides a path for a longer bike ride. I plan to come again for a picnic with the family.
Such a beautiful place to visit! Plenty of spaces for a BBQ, several areas of various sizes you can reserve for parties, 2 awesome lakes for fishing, plus great hiking trails. And it's so close! 5 stars all the way!
