Wooo exercise! Perfect way to start off the year with this 7-mile hike round trip from Ohlone college. Parking is free if the school isn't in session (ahum like during Christmas Break... otherwise street parking if you are willing to walk a bit longer). I'd recommend bringing a minimum of 2 water bottles and a small snack like an energy bar as most people will take around 3-4 hours round trip and you'll probably be a bit hungry.

This is a beautiful dog-friendly park with breezy trails on the hillside and along the marshland with views of the Bay, Fremont and Newark. Don't miss the hike up to the top of Glider Hill for panoramic, 360 degree views of your surroundings. The vibrant green and blue marsh rests against the inland side, and the unique salt evaporation ponds hug the shore of the bay. You can view the Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge from the shoreline Bayview Trail, and it's a great place to bird watch.
