Cabins are a nice touch, and the lake view is always sight to picture when staying at Perry Lake. Since I was a kid, this was always a go-to spot that was not a long drive but not in town but seems like in the middle of nowhere. Great swimming beach decent showers if you happen to not have an RV or solar shower. Rangers are friendly just as the campgrounds keepers. My favorite spot and hopefully it will be yours too. Walkability: Trails are secured and seculeded and some trails are Horses only.
We took our 2 dogs on a trail with our scooters. Good path and lots of other joggers and bikers. There's always sailboat or board surfers on the lake. Rental bikes available. Horse training lrails, dog beach. Great fun.
Camp site is very well facilitated, restroom is nearby and you are able to find grills nearby/at the spots. A day pass or a Kansas pass is required for having a night stay.
