TOPEKA ZOO REVIEWS
Great little zoo with some awesome events. The new giraffe exhibit is nice, and the Japanese garden is a MUST SEE. The staff are wonderful and informative. It is a very affordable way to spend a morning or afternoon in Topeka. And right across the street is a great park with a Choo Choo train! I also would be remiss if I fail to mention the great events put on by the hundreds of staff and volunteers, such as Brew at the Zoo, the Holiday Lights, and the special private events that can be held there. The Japanese Garden is a beautiful location where you can host your event.
Very nice medium size zoo. The landscaping is lovely, especially the Japanese Botanical garden. There are many places to sit, some with tables. There are lots of animals to see. My favorite were the giraffes. We went into the barn and took some great photos. There is a place to get food. I also noted that there are a lot of water fountains with cold water. Overall, the zoo is very clean. The Topeka Zoo is a great way to spend the day.
A very excellent location I enjoyed all of the animal exhibits also the educational booths were very nice has a very interesting tropical experience and the zoo lights set up was beautifully done highly recommend this location for Your Kansas Zoo experience list.

EVEL KNIEVEL MUSEUM REVIEWS
4 of us were in Topeka for the weekend. Thought we'd take in the museum. We weren't expecting much. But WOW, were we surprised. This is a treasure, explaining, describing, anything and everything about Evels' life and times. The building was astounding. The virtual bike jump was crazy fun.....the volunteer guides were awesome. I think it'll be a huge loss to Topeka as the plans are to move the museum to Las Vegas.....
This was a good experience. It wasn't to expensive and it had a lot of memorabilia. It had his motorcycles and his truck that have been refurbished. It started when he was a child and went through his death. It is all cataloged and talks about what he did and there was even videos of his jumps and wrecks. I liked how it really focused on him and not the rest of his family. It had some things from my childhood as in toys and even a Wheaties box. :-) It was also a beautiful buliding that it was in.
This place is incredible! He was my childhood hero so I might be biased, but i absolutely loved it. The VR jump is well worth it and a complete trip! Very professionally curated museum on a legend in my generation! Go see it in Topeka before it heads to Vegas!!!! The guys working there are very cool as well!

KANSAS CHILDREN'S DISCOVERY CENTER REVIEWS
This place was amazing. We stayed here all day with the kids for about 7 hours. Well worth the money. The kids had so much fun going from activity to activity and never getting board. We brought our own lunch. There are picnic tables inside and outside. There are so many educational, hands-on exhibits for kids (and some adults too). The favorite is the rock machine in the back inside where a bunch of kids had to work together as a team to move the rocks. They also had a Lego station, building blocks station, vacuum suction tubes, a toddler area, and so much more. Outside there is a pond with flat rocks to walk across, a garden, a pollinator garden, a music garden with a bunch of percussion instruments, rocks to climb on, a merry go round, giant chess and so much more. The bathrooms are super cleans too and the staff is very friendly. If you are visiting Topeka, this place is a must if you have kids. We have a 12, 10 and 4 year old and they all had a blast.
An amazing experience for the kids. There is plenty of indoor activity and to my surprise, there was also a ton of activities outside as well. My kids are 4 and almost 2 and they totally enjoyed everything this facility offered. We spent 2.5 hours here and we didn't even touch everything that there was to offer. There is stuff for the older kiddos too. But, this is perfect for that 1-6/7 age range. We will definitely be going back!
Today was busy, but not overcrowded. Everything is clean. The bathroom is excellent, so accessible. Makes everything easier for parents, etc. There are so many wonderful learning toys, a playhouse/slid, Legos, play grocery store. It is great for young children. My grandchildren are 18 mos. old and they love it.
