Outstanding place for an afternoon stroll. Beautiful scenery! Wildlife is present. Fishing seems limited but allowable. Trails are neatly kept. Nice walking path throughout. If you plan to visit in the dead of summer, I'd recommend a hat or some form of shade. There's a nice shaded area towards the lake at the south side. We were worried about the amount of noise.. Given the roads are nearby. However, once you're in and walking... the noise quickly vanishes. All in all a great place to visit.
Nice little preserve to take a walk on a sunny day. Unimproved hiking paths are clear for walking but really would be difficult for wheelchair. A few benches along the way to sit and relax. The yellow loop trail is a mile long so it is just right for a short stroll to get away from the city. We saw some people fishing in the lake and there is decent access to the shoreline.
Such a great trail for beginners and even advanced hikers. I would recommend going when it hasn’t rain in a couple of days cause the area does tend to get pretty flooded and wet sometimes.
