My wife and I hired Mathews Construction to remodel our master bath area which included new countertop, sinks, faucets, shower and bath tile, shower glass, lighting and exhaust fans. Eric and his crew treated us and our house with the utmost respect and professionalism, listened to our ideas and made it happen on time and on budget. We are thrilled with the results and so glad we found Eric to do the work ! I would not hesitate to hire him for any future renovation / remodeling work.
My husband and I hired Eric to remodel our outdated kitchen late 2020. He is very knowledgeable of older homes, as ours was built in 1959 and he was able to give us great recommendations. He listened to what our ideas were and he made them a reality. Some specifics of the project included removing existing tile flooring, having asbestos ceiling and dry wall removed, relocating plumbing, custom modern cabinets with custom paint color and more. Our kitchen turned out perfect. He even did a few extra things for us and really went above and beyond.
Eric Mathews is extraordinarily talented and I am impressed with him in so many ways. He completed my bathroom remodel and installed security lighting with precision and care. Nicolaisen and Sons have built 3 custom homes for me within the last 3 years. Two of the homes are contemporary two-story homes built next to each other in Torrance. One of them is a 2800 sq. ft 4 bedroom 3-½ bath home and the other is a 3200 sq. ft 6 bedroom 5-½ bath. Our most recent house was just completed and is a beautiful 6000 sq. foot single-story ranch style home. It’s a 7 bedroom 5-½ bath. Some of the custom features include vaulted wood beam ceilings, walk-in pantry, walk-in Laundry room, theatre room & garden room with French doors that open towards a custom enclosed patio. I would recommend Nicolaisen and Sons to anyone, they’re level of professionalism and paying attention.
We had Nicolaisen & Sons do a complete remodel of our home, and it was a very positive experience. We also added 700+sq.ft. and a large front porch. Our remodel is like a brand new home, and now has tremendous curb appeal. Their work was excellent quality, on schedule, within budget. Each person we dealt with was friendly, professional, and highly skilled. We have recommended this company to others, and they have been very pleased too!
He has built three custom homes for us, very efficient, timely in all three. The first two were three and half months and the third was five and half months. He is very efficient very much into the details for the work, walls were very straight, cabinets were very good, and the details in all the work were phenomenal. Their price is very good, did not over charge on anything, just great.
