Hotel Shattuck Plaza

This hotel was a very nice surprise. They have a beautiful art deco inside, their restaurant bar makes you feel like you are in the set of a movie of David Lynch or the Cohen Brothers. The staff was busy the entire time, they were on top of things, and trying to accommodate everyone s needs. Awesome furniture, great comfortable beds where I can fit completely without my feet being in the air like in other countries. comfy chairs, and sofas. Great location if you want to be closer to UC Berkeley or better yet stay in downtown Berkeley, just a couple of mins away from downtown Berkeley Bart station (subway), tons of restaurants in the area, public library, YMCA, high school and is a vibrant area at night since is also close to theaters. Two thumbs up!

Was there for business with my wife, great little hotel, cool decor great bar and restaurant inside had a fabulous time. Gentlemen that checked us in was very nice and helpful, the ladies at the desk in the morning were very polite and smiling. If you are in town and need a spot to stay go here, great price, nice people, bar right in the lobby, can't ask for more.

After a long drive, my arrival at the Shattuck Hotel was comforting. Was able to clean up, rest, have a great meal, and settle in for the evening. I'll be back.
