"Nia House Learning Center was founded by Tia Waller in 1974. Nathan Hood is the president, Eve Uberman is the Executive Director, and Stacey Wood is the Assistant Director of the school. Nia House Learning Center is committed to providing children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years with an education centered around peace, understanding, acceptance, independence, community, and truth. They have an updated facility that includes children’s bathrooms in each classroom, an adjoining shared kitchen, ample outdoor classroom space, a vegetable garden, and increased space for young children to run, bike, and climb. Nia House’s Program Expansion Project increased enrollment by 68 percent, from a capacity of 50 to a capacity of 84 children.
