She is an active member of The American Immigration Lawyers Association. Carmen was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2001. Carmen has directed the law firm since that time, representing foreign nationals worldwide in all types of immigration matters. She has assisted thousands of foreign nationals in becoming lawful permanent residents of the United States of America. Carmen is a member of the Investment Migration Council, which meets in Geneva to discuss migration through investment. She often speaks on immigration matters and has done so throughout the U.S. and abroad, including the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, Switzerland, and Venezuela.
