The museum focuses on the history of the southernmost county in Nevada, emphasizing the early Native American inhabitants such as the Paiute people, mining, the impact of the railroads, and gaming. The museum contains more than 50,000 images covering 120 years of Southern Nevada history. Clark County Museum's collection of restored historic homes and buildings transports guests to a variety of eras, from the roaring 1920s to the 1950s. The museum also includes several historic houses as well as a recreated ghost town. This place was inspired by one of the museum’s volunteers who created a fabric art piece based on an item in the collection.”
