Acacia Demonstration Gardens is a 16-acre garden that features indigenous plants in the desert, plus a learning center and demonstration areas. The garden is a joint effort between Henderson, the Southern Nevada Conservation District, and several other local organizations. The garden showcases several examples of landscaping that are water-efficient for its desert climate. Acacia Demonstration Gardens also holds several seminars each spring and fall, offering visual samples of the landscape possibilities and information about the displayed plants. There are benches, arches, and plenty of plants and trees to look at. Acacia Demonstration Gardens is an excellent place for children and adults who want to learn about native plants.
