3 Best Places To See in Henderson, NV

This was our second time visiting and my daughter and I had a wonderful time! We arrived at 11 AM on a Thursday morning and checked in conveniently at the trailer in front. I’m so happy that it’s such an intimate experience. Speaking with staff and volunteers is very pleasant, everyone makes you feel welcomed. The timing of the feedings allows us to watch the big cats get excited and show off a little. We had a great time watching these majestic beasts as well as the other animals at the habitat. I’d go again in a minute! Thanks to Jim for taking time to show us some of his personal collection of habitat odds and ends.

This place was a highlight to my Vegas trip. I was trying to find a zoo like place to take my grandchild and this habitat was the best found place. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with greatness. Our favorite person was Jim. He was so knowledgeable, gave us lots of great information on the habitat, on the animals and he had great information on the lions that we did not know. Jim even took great photos for us to have memories with our grandchild. I would hands down, go here again. Worth the trip.

This was such a nice place to visit! The animals were well taken care of and it was clean. We saw lions, a tortoise, and birds. We truly enjoyed this time. We got to see them feed the lions and heard from quite a few lions also. They have plenty of shade and seating. It's a smaller place, but we would definitely recommend it.

Walking my dogs I decided to come here this morning and visit the dog park. I used to live in this community a few years back. The park is clean. While I was there I checked out the trees, bushes, and plants, so I could get an idea of what would look good in my backyard. It is a nice walking path with benches and informative signs. There is grass removal going on at this time, turning those areas into desert landscaping, which is unfortunate. The public areas are practically the last areas where the community can enjoy the greener areas. The water shortage is real? The way the developers continue to expand Clark County worries me. In a drought, I can understand the cuts on grass, but the profits of the developers seem to override the water shortage.

Easy place for some quick pics for my nephew’s homecoming outfit. We only went about 5 steps into the garden for these, I’m sure there’s better spots with no houses in the background! Would go again.

This was a very relaxing park with great views. Also had a couple of resident cats I ran into.
