TOP 3 SLOAN CANYON NATIONAL CONSERVATION AREA REVIEWS
I had a wonderful time viewing the interesting geology and evidence of archaic human activity. The first part of the 100 trail from the trailhead is flat and desolate and one might even say ugly (I wished more than once that not so much of it was protected so that we could perhaps skip the first mile of walking)! But it was worth the effort to see all the petroglyphs near the end. I'm glad that it is a somewhat long trail because there's a bit of vandalism out there even so. On the early November afternoon of our hike, it was high 80s and hot (almost no shade throughout). Rangers are very helpful and try to walk the trail with water twice a day to keep people safe.
Awesome. Great hike back into the canyon. We did the cowboy trail going around to the backside. The views are amazing. A couple of areas, 2 or 3 where we had to scramble down rocks. Petroglyphs are unforgettable if you're into it. Definitely will be back. On the way to the park, we fueled the bodies up at breakfast junkies in Henderson.
Gorgeous morning for a hike on Black Mountain. Gets steep in some places and be sure to bring water as there’s no shade. Overall a lovely safe moderately difficult hike. Highly recommend.

TOP 3 MCCULLOUGH HILLS TRAILHEAD REVIEWS
Was a great experience. Will be going back again soon for sure. Even seen poor girl run into a bush and walk her bike back with a flat... i really liked the single track trails with the ups and downs. Seen a sign that said waterfall too, althought, i am not sure how farcit was to that but seemed it would be really far.
The perfect trail for biking or hiking! It's designed for bikes, so these trails aren't too steep, which makes it great for beginner hikers. I just leisurely walked the trail, and since it's mid-October, it's perfect weather in Las Vegas. Definitely worth the trip!
Great place to go hiking and definitely mountain biking! There's probably 100 miles or more of single track when you combine all the trails it is linked to.

TOP 3 RIVER MOUNTAINS LOOP TRAIL REVIEWS
What makes the River Mountains Loop Trail worth a 5 star rating? Well, there's a few things. For starters it's quite the bicycling adventure. There are many steep inclines and declines so make sure your breaks are in good condition. It's quite scenic with views of Lake Mead and the desert surroundings. It's a long trail but you can always do a few miles and then turn around until you feel more confident to make the whole loop. There are many entry points where you can park your car. Its a clean and well maintained trail. Ok, I said enough for now. Check it out sometime, well worth it
A great trail to walk or bike ride. Only complaint is some of the people that ride their bicycles don't respect the people walking. (Some of us just like to take a walk to get some exercise, enjoy the scenery and relax) But overall a great trail very clean and well maintained.
I love riding the River Mountain Loop Trail. I mostly ride Henderson to Boulder City. The trail is a little choppy on the north side -over by Lake Las Vegas. There are a lot of cracks and splits in the concrete. Hopefully they'll get fixed! I love having a safe place to bike.
