“Alhambra Water Tower was constructed in 1924, comprising two separate structures. The inner circle tank served a purely utilitarian function and had an unappealing appearance. The tower is situated approximately 6.1 miles away from downtown Hialeah. To conceal the water tank's unsightly features, a reinforced concrete and wood frame structure was designed to resemble a lighthouse, which added aesthetic value to the overall design. The tower was a vital component of the city's water supply system. Denman Fink, who was Merrick's uncle, designed the lighthouse to encase the steel-frame water tower, creating an architecturally playful facade that exudes a sense of peace, surprise, color, majesty, and history. The tower is a hidden gem in the Miami-Dade area, providing visitors a serene environment to relax and unwind.”

Enjoyed coming back to a Renewed JFK Library had not been here since my childhood years.Came to get my Passport done.Everyone here so kind and helpful. Immediately guided me and my son to getting the Library card.Then lady at the information desk got me to start both applications done and then we have Miryam a passport expertise her professionalism is outstanding.She went out of her way to help me out and get it done.Can't Thank her enough.

I come here a couple times a week. I love this library. It’s very calming and always smells gooood. The environment is great, everyone is extremely helpful and kind. Bathroom is also very clean and organized. Highly recommended. Thank you for always providing a clean and safe space for my family to enjoy.

Wonderful, relaxing place to spend time to browse and read books. Nicely decorated too after the remodeling of the past few years with displays of art and statues everywhere. Highly recommended.

I had a decent visit, a few people happen to come at different times of the day but it doesn't get over populated. You can go and take care of your work peacefully, that's if you bring headphones.

An excellent library that provides free computer services, book loans, free computer courses, a place to study quietly, whether you are an adult or for children to study with their tutors.

This was a really beautiful piece of history to see. Situated just in the middle of a neighborhood but took my breath away. Glad this historical building has been preserved! Definitely worth checking out while in Coral Gables.
