GRINTER PLACE REVIEWS
We used to walk to Applefest at the Grinter house every fall. They would open up the house for tours and have pony rides, and things for sale out in the grounds... The house is definitely worth seeing it is just gorgeous and very cool because you can see how they lived when Kansas was just a territory before bridges were built and they still had to use ferries to cross the Kansas River because originally, that's what the Grinter's did.
Have rented this venue for a wedding, baby shower, birthday, reunion, etc. - nice space, small kitchen, tables, chairs, clean means and women's bathrooms, goo parking, outside area. Good price and easy/convenient to rent!
Very beautiful, learned so much about Kansas city. My supervisor had us volunteer there. Was wonderful

Sauer Castle is an Italianate home located in Kansas City. The castle was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Famed architect Asa Beebe Cross designed the house. The house is an example of Italianate architecture. The house was the residence of Anton Sauer. Sauer had married his wife Francesca in Vienna, Austria, at age eighteen and a half. Five generations of the Sauer family continued living in the mansion until the owner of a home heating oil company, Paul Berry, bought the house after Eve's death. The beautiful building has 12-foot ceilings, with an impressive entry floor, which alternates walnut and oak.

SAUER CASTLE REVIEWS
It was a great video tour and learning about the family history of this old mansion. Five generations of the Sauer family occupied this home. I would love to see this property restored back to its original beauty with upgrades in plumbing and with a gourmet kitchen. It will take a couple of million dollars to fix up this damaged property. The guest home would require additional funding to restore its natural beauty. Lovely home in its day!
My family was very close with Paul Berry who owned it until the late 1980s and I stayed there in the summer months for many years in a row! It really was haunted, and oh the stories I could tell! He had to use German Shepherds to keep spectators away. Had the most gorgeous staircase with a continuous bannister that went for at least 3 floors! What a historic treasure!
Hello, I am a kid who grew up in this neighbourhood and I happen to think that it is a pretty good neighbourhood! This is a really cool castle to pass on Halloween! Please come and visit!

ROSEDALE WORLD WAR I MEMORIAL ARCH REVIEWS
Kansas City's other WWI monument. Located in the Rosedale neighbourhood of KCK. Dedicated to those who battled in WWI from the area. Provides awesome views of downtown Kansas City, MO.
We took the kids just to get out of the car during a cross country trip home. It was beautiful and had plenty of room for the 4 kids to get some energy out. The memorial is amazing and beautiful
Nice little park with a good view of downtown Kanas City. This was a forgotten piece of history until it was reclaimed with mostly volunteer labor in the 1970's.
