“Children’s Mercy Park is home to Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer. The stadium can accommodate 18,467 people, but can be enlarged to 25,000 for concerts. The 2011 Group C finals were the first international matches held at Children's Mercy Park. Most SKC games attract around 21,000 spectators due to different stadium configurations. The planned site for the stadium was cleared to prepare for infrastructure. The stadium is the only one where the U.S. men's national soccer team has played all three games in the same year. The stadium offers a variety of services and accommodations. Wheelchair-accessible areas can be found in Children's Mercy Park.”

“Kansas Speedway is a 1.5-mile oval track that hosts various racing series, including NASCAR, IndyCar, and the IMSA SportsCar Championship. The speedway's paving began in September 2000, and it was finished in early 2001. All three of NASCAR's national touring series have been held at Kansas Speedway. The speedway constructed the $380 million Penn National Gaming Hollywood Hotel and Casino at the track. More than 200 events have been held annually at the track. Kansas Speedway offers nonstop entertainment and action. Year after year, Kansas Speedway expanded its facilities. One thousand six hundred extra seats were added in 2003, and another 1,500 seats were added in 2005. Restaurants and clubs are also available at Kansas Speedway.”

STRAWBERRY HILL MUSEUM & CULTURAL CENTER REVIEWS

Beautiful home turned into an orphanage. The tour was an hour with lots of information about the house, the sisters that took it over and turned it into an orphanage, and the immigrants that lived in the area. Great place to check out to better understand KCs history starting in the late 1800s and vital role that immigrants played. House was beautiful and well kept. The tour was an hour and we purchased tickets in advance which was reasonably priced. In the tour there were 7 people total which seemed comfortable size of a group given some of the rooms and hallways are tight/smaller. The tour guides are all volunteers and you can tell they deeply care for the property, history, and region. Highly recommend.

Truly a great place to visit. Loved learning about KC history and our multi-heritage culture. The tour was awesome and I wish I could have taken some photos to tease you into visiting But no photos are allowed. They did allow us to take a group photo in the chapel and with the Christmas decorations it made one of my favorite pictures of the holidays.

Go for the decorations, stay for the history. The Strawberry Hill Museum and Cultural Center offers tours through the former St. John’s Orphanage. Tour guides are local volunteers whose northwestern European families settled the area. Photography is not allowed in the museum, but trust me, every room is incredible.

CHILDREN’S MERCY PARK REVIEWS

Spent the evening at Children’s Mercy Park with the team for a Sporting KC match, and it was an incredible experience. We sat in the Huhtamaki Shield Club, and everything from the seats to the food and drinks was top-notch. Sporting KC pulled off an epic win with two goals in stoppage time, and the stadium absolutely erupted. The energy in the crowd was unreal, and the entire place was buzzing. The stadium is clean, well-organized, and perfect for a group outing or a night out. Can’t recommend it enough, we’ll definitely be back for another match soon.

The stadium is nice and clean. We went for graduation, but I have been to a KC Sporting soccer game here before. Boy, was that soccer game a blast! I had good seats and it was a nice and classy atmosphere. Our refreshments were inside. Everything was clean. Always keep your eyes open in the area. The parking and surrounding shopping is all handicapped accessible.

Attended a wedding here and had a great time. The staff from security to set-up was remarkable. The wedding ended just as the fireworks from the nearby baseball field began. What a perfect ending and new beginning.

KANSAS SPEEDWAY REVIEWS

Awesome experience at this speedway in KC!! Take in all of your snacks, food and drinks in a 14" x 14" x 14" cooler (I believe that is the max size you can take in). Each one of you can take one in!! It's great because you can save some money and spend it on souvenirs for your family. Recommend rows 59 and higher in the center grandstand and you will be in the shade all day on a hot summer day. It was our first NASCAR race and we hope to go again. There is even FREE parking (paid parking if you want to park closer). Go check it out with the family and have a great time! Don't forget some ear plugs.

It's a wonderful race track with great views of the entire track! I highly recommend this for avid fans who like exciting races! It has capabilities to hold day or night races, and I have been there during a rain delayed race and saw a day night race.

Such a great place to watch races! Lots of fun both in the infield and the grand stands. Lots of things to do, and lots of money to spend. Always pack suncreen.
