Burrage Mansion is recognized as a prime example of Mission Revival architecture in Redlands, California. The Mansion was highlighted in contemporary architectural textbooks due to its "H" shaped layout, stucco exterior, arched doorways, red tile roof, and bell towers. Charles Brigham, the architect of the Burrage residence in Boston and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, was responsible for designing the Mansion. Moreover, the Mansion doubles as a haven, exclusively catering to the welfare and happiness of underprivileged children. The Mansion is accessible to local nonprofit organizations that aid young children or contribute to historic preservation as a venue. Besides, the gorgeous grounds and structures are a refuge, providing disadvantaged children in Redlands with opportunities for play, education, and enrichment activities.
